Top tips for planning your BFF’s Bachelorette Party - PART 1
Today we’re going to discuss some of the things you need to think about when planning the hen, and this will be followed up in our February newsletter, with some more tips for ensuring the event goes well.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll be so excited about putting together the best weekend possible for your bestie, and nobody (except her husband-to-be) knows her better than you do. Here’s our top 5 ideas for ensuring she has a great time
Personalise the Decorations
Who doesn’t love looking at old photos of their friends, it’s always fun to reminisce and look back over the years you’ve known each other. Chances are, most of you attending the hen party have got a long history of friendship with the bride-to-be, so ask all of the hens to send you over photos in advance which you can use to print out, or even for party games on the night. You’ll all have a laugh looking back over some of the things you’ve done.
This is her time to spend a night with each and every one of her closest friends. It’s probably the first time you’ve all been in the same room, so it’s a great opportunity to get to know some of the other important ladies in her life. Take lots of photos throughout the event – or even hire a photographer to do a special photoshoot. Then, following on from the hen do, you could put together a scrap book to give her as a gift, it could make the perfect wedding gift from all of her hens!
Come Up With a Great Theme
Let’s face it, secretly we all love to dress up. And this is your opportunity to come up with a fun idea to get her dressed up. Make sure you know her limits, and don’t make her feel too silly, but it’s always fun to get into fancy dress, and you’ll all feel far less uncomfortable about it (including her) if everyone is dressed up. Some of the best ideas are the most ridiculous – a chicken and her chicks, Crayola crayons, where’s wally, superheroes. You name it – you might even have your own joke with her that suits the occasion. If you know she’s not a fan of dressing up, get her fiancé’s face printed on a load of masks which you can all wear.
